Foot infection!!! EXTREME PAIN!!!?

ive got some infection on my foot. it started at a simple cuticle infection on my big toe but now my little toe on the same foot is swollen but not puss-y(not the hoo ha lol) it stings terribly even if just touched and the area around it and now leading to other toes is getting very sensitive. ive covered the area with cream antiseptic and wrapped it up with a bandage and the pain has gone down. im going to the doctor tomorrow but i was wondering if anyone knew any way or anything to do to help the pain besides pain killers. maybe if anyone knew what was happening? thanks
