How can i talk my bf into staying with me till christmas?

well we been together for a year i moved to chicago to be with him we got into a huge fight and were sick of eachother he broke up with me so i have to go to my moms in indiana we have split up and kept gettin back together i dont wanna lose him were just stressed out about our situation hes 29 lives with his gma and im living with my moms ex and his girlfriend, i want him to come with me stay till after christmas to get away im stayin there to save money to get a place i want us to start over i want to make this work how can i talk him into it ? i dont want to sound desperate or whinny i just know that this will make us work i feel it in my heart what can i do?
