Why did he have to leave? What should I do?

So, I liked this guy ALOT but Friday was his last day at our school because he is going to a special hockey school next year. I swear he is almost perfect! Sadly all weekend I kept thinking about him. We were friends, and I know where he lives, but we arn't good enough friends for me to go and knock on his door too say hi. On his last day my best friend told him (in front of me and him) that she thought he liked me. Then he was like "No were just friends, right Veronica?" and then I was like "Yeah, totaly...". I really miss him and I don't know if I'll ever see him again. I don't want to seem like a stalker or anything. There was a slight chance he liked me back in May... I only have one thing that might help, my friend (who is a girl) lives on his street. I don't know if that helps. Anyway. What should I do? Try to get over him? Maybe go see him with my friend? I really regret not telling him I like him. What should I do?
