Computer Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Okay so I have Windows ME and I can't upgrade or else trust me, I would have done that by now. I'm desperate to put new songs on my iPod because I did it at a friends house one day before I got hit with Swine Flu, and plus she got rid of her computer. I won't be going anywhere for a while and I only have about 100 songs and I usually have 1000 but then my brothers computer crashed... ANYWAY I've been trying to download iTunes all day, and I finally realized it's not compatible with Windows ME. I tried iTunes 4.1 and it STILL wouldn't work! Is there anyway to get iTunes on Windows ME or is there any program LIKE iTunes that allows me to put songs onto my iPod? I don't care about movies, videos, games, etc... just songs!
