What is wrong with some competition?

I agree 100%. My boys are just getting ready for soccer to start in a couple of months and in the spring, it's not competitive at all. They aren't supposed to keep score and they aren't near as vigilant in calling the fouls and that sort of stuff. My thinking...how do they learn then? Sure, it's great when they are young that everyone gets to play. I'm all for that. But it's truly in our nature to compete and if you think those kids don't walk off the field knowing who truly won a game where no official score was kept...you are wrong. It's important to learn how to be a gracious winner and loser. In today's society we reward children for everything. It's annoying. To me it's like holding graduation ceremonies for kindergarten. Really, kindergarten?
